Oh hi, nice human!

This is Shelby Miguel. Super long story short, I was born and raised in Daly City, California. I grew up going to musical theatre camp at Hillbarn Theatre and the American Conservatory Theatre, and when I was a little teeny bopper, I began AND ended my professional dance career dancing on the Golden State Warriors Jr. Jam Squad. YAY! First paid job. Did theatre at my high school, St. Ignatius College Prep in San Francisco, and then graduated from the USC School of Dramatic Arts. Moved to New York City, worked at the world famous Ellen’s Stardust Diner, then booked my first national tour playing Rosie Imelda and Nanea Mitchell in American Girl Live. Moved back to New York City to keep auditioning until a global pandemic happened, bringing me back to the Bay. Did a lot of work on myself as a human and fully committed myself to dismantling all the oppressive systems that exist in the world, then went back to LA, which this is where I’m at right now. This past March, I produced and performed in Great American Bitches, which is now an annual show that highlights women of color and non-binary people of color and raises money for the American Civil Liberties Union (the ACLU) to fight all the atrocities our government has been committing. I’m currently playing Janis in Mean Girls at The Wisteria Theater, which runs until August 16, and you can find the Mean Girls ticket link on my news tab. YAY! Welcome to my website.
